Situated 14km away from Barcelona, Barcelona Airport or 'Aeroport del Prat' is Spain’s second largest airport behind Madrid Barajas International Airport. Its main airlines are Vueling Airlines and Clickair, but Spanair and Air Europa also serve the airport with destinations being mainly domestic, European and North African. Currently, the airport is undergoing expansion: a new south terminal is under construction and is expected to be finished in 2009.

The Aerobus Express Bus service is a shuttle bus that links Barcelona airport (all three terminals) to the city centre and operates every 15 mins during normal hours.
Two RENFE trains run per hour to Sants, Passeig de Gracia and Franca rail stations between 0600 and 2229. Average journey time 20 minutes.
