About Frankfurt Hahn Airport & Transfer Information
Despite its name, Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is situated 120km from Frankfurt city centre. It is still a relatively small airport although its popularity with low cost airlines has seen massive expansion in recent years. The airport serves as a hub for Frankfurt as well as many other nearby towns and cities.
Ryan Air in particular has been heavily involved in the airport and has many daily flights from there to London Stansted. Iceland Express also operates frequently from Frankfurt Hahn as does Wizz Air.
Approximate transfer times to city centre:
Bus services to Stuttgarter Strasse (adjacent to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof -main rail station), connect with flights and have an average journey time of 105 minutes.
There are also bus services from Frankfurt Hahn to many other nearby towns and cities including Trier, Luxembourg and Heidelberg.
