About Berlin Tegel Airport & Transfer Information
7km away from the city centre, Tegel Airport is known for its hexagonal terminal building around an open square, which makes distances from the terminal exit to the aircraft as short as 30 metres, so easily walkable. Tegel has the most scheduled flights of the three airports serving Berlin. It currently serves over 13 million passengers a year, however as with the other two main Berlin airports, its services are all to transfer to the newly constructed Airport Berlin Brandenburg International in 2011.
Approximate transfer times to city centre:
Jet Express Bus services to Berlin Hauptbahnhof rail station runs every 10 minutes (service A) and every 20 minutes (service B).
