Much of the hotel and other accommodation is to be found in the neighborhood around the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). As the city attracts many businesspeople, many hotels can be rather expensive and are often booked up in advance (as we found out to our cost!), so make sure you plan ahead. Booking ahead is also the only way of securing dicounts on the high standard hotel prices. The tourist offices in the train station and at Roemerberg can be of assistance in advising you on what is on last minute offer and making reservations, though try not to leave it this late. The Ibis chain of hotels in Germany always offers a safe bet, with inexpensive, clean and efficient hotel accommodation.
