Salzburg Accommodation
As tourism is one of the primary sources on income for Salzburg, it prides itself on providing a great range accommodation from superior hotels to small, traditional lodgings. Discounts are often available on the top-range hotels but only when outside high season (which includes winter because of the winter sports season).
The main hotels are all in the center with the Old Town being the preferred choice for the up market. However, we would suggest that you also consider traveling a little outside Salzburg’s centre as this is where you often find the hidden treasures! There is a great selection of bed and breakfast accommodation as well as small hotels in a country setting. These lodgings and hotels tend to offer typical Austrian food and hospitality at a fraction of the cost.
