B’estfest

Romania’s biggest music festival has line ups that feature chart-topping rock, pop and hip hop acts from around the world.

B’estfest began in 2007 and now attracts around 150,000 people over three days. Previous performers have included Cypress Hill, Manu Chao, The Killers, Moby, etc, so expect big names as well as the odd Romanian band. The festival takes place outdoors, and as well as the four music stages there is a fairground, bazaar, food stalls, a sports area and campsite. Even better is the ‘Lake Lounge Area’ where you can lie on a hammock and smoke shisha, and as the weather tends to be good in Bucharest in July, you can rest assured there won’t be any muddy scenes reminiscent of Glastonbury.
