Frankfurter Dom This beautiful Gothic cathedral was lucky to survive the WWII bombings, it was badly damaged and repaired between 1950 and 1953. The cathedral has an interesting history and it's well worth a visit if you're in Frankfurt. There are daily guided tours exploring the antiquities within.

Getting here by train

If you're arriving at Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (Main Station) you can either take the U-bahn (Underground), get a taxi or walk to the Dom (walking will probably take around 25 - 30 minutes to walk 1.8km). If it's a nice day we'd recommend walking along the river Main, just head south out of the Hauptbahnhof and turn left when you get to the river, you can't miss the Dom!
