This beautiful Gothic cathedral was lucky to survive the WWII bombings, it was badly damaged and repaired between 1950 and 1953. The cathedral has an interesting history and it's well worth a visit if you're in Frankfurt. There are daily guided tours exploring the antiquities within.

If you have a head for heights you can climb the 328 step Cathedral Tower and enjoy fantastic views of Old Town and the rest of Frankfurt.
