About the station
Calais-Fréthun Station (Gare de Calais-Fréthun) is the main stop for long-distance train services in Calais. It is the first stop for the Eurostar services from England and is also on the high-speed TGV line between Lille-Europe and Boulogne. From here you can also catch the TGV service direct to Paris (1hr45m).This isn't really a station for the sightseer, being located at the Eurotunnel terminal in the Coquelles suburb of Calais to the south-west of the centre. There are frequent, local trains from Calais-Fréthun Station to Calais-Ville station in the city centre (9 minute journey).
