About the station
Essen's main train station (Hauptbahnhof) lies in the centre of the city with all main sights and shopping within comfortable walking distance. For those not inclined to walk (or if the weather isn't up to it!) the main bus station is on the south side of the station, or there are excellent links across the city and to neighbouring ones via the S-Bahn (tram) or U-Bahn (underground) networks.Information
