About the station
Gare de Latour-de-Carol-Enveitg serves the villages of Enveitg and Latour-de-Carol located right in the south of France along the Spanish border. The station serves direct onward destinations of Toulouse, Barcelona and Villefranche-de-Conflent.Latour-de-Carol is quite an interesting station in that it's one of very few around the world that serves three different gauge railways. The gauges are:
- Line to Toulouse-Matabiau: Standard gauge
- Line to Barcelona: Iberian gauge
- Cerdagne line to Villefranche-de-Conflent: 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) metre gauge
Another interesting point is that platform 1 at Gare de Latour-de-Carol-Enveitg is actually the longest covered platform in France.
