About the station
Regensburg's main station is housed in an attractive post-war building just to the south of the city's old town. Attached to the main station building you'll find evidence of the modern craze for station-shopping; the Regensburg Arcaden with all the usual suspects and a few independent shops thrown into the mix is there for all those desperate to shop after stepping off the train. Also for the traveller's convenience you'll find plenty of cycle storage, lockers, taxis and bus services at the station.On leaving the station, you may prefer to avoid the shopping centre and head north towards the old town. This route will take you through the Schloss Emmeram Park from where you can head towards the Basilika St. Emmeram which is just over 0.5km from the station's entrance. The other churches, museums and sight of the old town are then also within striking distance beyond.
