About the station
The station in Wittenberg is officially called Lutherstadt Wittenberg in honour of the town's most well-known son, Martin Luther. It lies approximately 0.5km to the east of the main town centre, but has the main bus station right next door, so for those struggling to walk far, there are plenty of options.The train station is well connected, especially with the ICE service that runs from Stralsund in the north, to München in the south. Plenty of regional services also operate with comprehensive coverage of local town and city stations.
