5 Days Off

This five day festivals showcases electronic music of all genres

This five day festivals showcases electronic music of all genres, be it hip hop, house, techno, dubstep or minimal. Both big names and up and coming DJs perform; the likes of Modeselektor, 2manydjs, Ellen Allien, Skream and Caribou having turned up previously, essentially, anyone who is anyone in underground electronic music will have participated at some point. The action takes place at two of Amsterdam’s main live music venues; you pick and choose which nights you want to go or get a festival pass for all five days. Both venues, Melkweg and Paradiso are located 300m apart in the heart of Amsterdam, around the Leidseplein.

5 Days Off was conceived as a spin-off of the Belgian 10 Days Off festival. It’s indoors too, so you need not worry about the weather conditions.

Getting here by train

The impressive Amsterdam Central Station is extremely well connected both within the Netherlands and across Europe, with direct services from many major cities. On arrival there, the two festival venues are located just over 2km to the south-west which can be reached on foot, or by tram routes 1, 2, 5, 11 or 12 which all stop at Leinseplein.
