Dresden Train Stations and Maps

Main train stations and a country view rail map

Introduction

Dresden is the last major city in eastern Germany before the border with the Czech Republic and is on the A4 and A17 motorways. There is a dedicated airport for the city, although it primarily serves domestic flight destinations with just a few international connections mainly to holiday destinations in southern Europe.

Dresden's main station (Hauptbahnhof) is the final stop on several of the InterCityExpress (ICE) routes including those from Duesseldorf, Munich, Wiesbaden and Saarbruecken so making it really well connected to the Germany rail infrastructure. In addition there are many local and regional services as well as InterCity routes served by the station including one to Frankfurt Airport and Cologne.

There is a comprehensive tram system (S-Bahn) running across the city and connecting city destinations with communter towns and villages in the area.
