Florence Maps

The main railway station in Florence is called Santa Maria Novella (or Firenze SMN) and is situated in the north of the city. There is a Tourist Information Office just outside the station. The city is situated on the main Rome-Milan line and is therefore well served with services to Italy’s main cities. From the station you can walk to the city center in just ten minutes by following Via de’ Panzani followed by Via de’ Cerretani which takes you to the Duomo in the heart of the city. Alternatively bus number fourteen takes you to the center. Note that there is another major Tourist Information Office (Azienda di Promozione Turistica) in Florence located on Via Cavour.
