Garth Pier
The second longest pier in Wales.
As the second longest pier in Wales (9th in the UK), Garth Pier is a must visit location when you're in Bangor. It was almost demolished but saved by public demand, the restoration work took 6 years finishing in 1988.The pier is 1500 feet long and provides stunning views out over the Menai Strait (when the weather's good that is!). We'd highly recommend buying a bag of chips and taking a slow stroll to the end of the pier and back as the sun is setting.
