Introduction
Lying at the end of the A31 motorway on Germany's North Sea coast, Emden lies not far from the border with the Netherlands which can be reached in just over half an hour.There are two stations serving the town; the main station in the town centre and the Emden Aussenhafen Station which serves the harbour area. There is also a train service between the two, although for most the town is all easily accessible on foot.
