Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux

Home to the National Opera and National Balley of Bordeaux.

Designed by Victor Louis (the Palais Royal, and the Théâtre Français in Paris), the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux is one of the cities most opulent displays of its former prosperity.

The neo-classical facade of the Theatre is grand and imposing. The 12 columns all support statues that represent three goddesses and 9 muses. The magnificent architecture is worth a visit alone.

The theatre was completely renovated inside in the early 90s and is now home to the National Opera and National Balley of Bordeaux.
