In only 8 years Lovebox has grown to become London’s biggest and most famous outdoor music festival. The brainchild of Groove Armada, the festival line ups include electronic music, hip hop, indie and disco, with a combination of big names and over-hyped starlets (this is the trendy East End after all). Headline acts have been varied, from Manu Chao to Snoop Dogg and everything in between. Now spanning three days, Sunday is traditionally the “gay day” with a regular slot from disco purveyors Horsemeat Disco and acts in the vein of Scissor Sisters and Jonny Woo. The festival action takes place in the daytime, but numerous afterparties with varying degrees of officialdom take place in the evenings.
