Shakespeare's Birthplace

The house on Henley Street where Shakespeare is believed to have spent his childhood years

William Shakespeare's Birthplace
The house where Shakespeare (born 1564) is believed to have spent his childhood years is located on Henley Street in Stratford. The house is a 16th century half timbered building and has undergone considerable and careful restoration to preserve the building for future generations.

It is one of the most popular attractions in Stratford and nowadays houses a small museum which is open to the public. Quite simply a must see attraction for anyone visiting Stratford.
