Angermünde, Germany

Rail Guide to Angermünde

Introduction

This modestly-sized town of around 10,000 people is surrounded by the Uckermark forest, home to many game animals. Since the local enamel industry declined, Angermünde’s economy has relied on the tourist sector, and aside from magnificent forests and lakes, the historic old town attracts plenty of visitors each year, thanks to medieval churches, timbered gabled houses and the baroque town hall.
