Introduction
Situated very near to the Dutch border in the north-west of Germany, Leer within striking distance of the North Sea coast. The closest airport is Emden, approximately 35km away. The town is served by one train station; Leer (Ostfriesl). This station has very good services to many local destinations as well as intercity services to major towns such as Cologne and Hannover.
