There’s comedy, theatre, spoken word performances and music, with the latter including pop, blues, folk, World music and more. Film buffs can benefit from critic Mark Kermode’s Film Club, there are craft-making workshops and activities for kids too, and should you fancy a spot of pampering there are therapists on hand offering Indian head massages and aromatherapy. The campsite has been divided into quiet and family areas, alternatively there are rather more lavish trailers with their own shower, WC and most importantly, iPod dock. But perhaps the most remarkable thing about this festival is that is has remained resolutely sponsorship free throughout the 20-odd years it’s been running for.
