This outdoor festival hosts pop and classical concerts as well as ballet and theatre every summer. There is something for everyone as you’re just as likely to catch a performance of a Shakespearean drama as a screening of a gritty British film. The city’s main squares, streets and even the beach become the locations for the musical performances, lending the shows a spectacular background scenery that adds poignancy to the operatic and classical pieces in particular. Although the festival has its fair share of international performers, it’s also an excellent showcase of Croatian performing arts.
