Introduction
Binz lies on the eastern coast of the island of Rügen which itself is off the north eastern coast of Germany surrounded by the Baltic Sea. Transport connections to the town are surprisingly; the A96 then A196 motorways go from Stralsund on the mainland to close by, leaving just a short distance by country roads through the Jasmunder Park.
