Introduction

125km to the south-east of Berlin and less than 10km from the Polish border lies the German town of Cottbus. The town lies just off the A15 motorway and has good rail connections including direct services to Berlin (1hr 15mins), Hamburg Altona (4hrs) and Lepzig (2hrs). Other fast connections across the country and beyond can be reached by changing in Berlin or Leipzig.
