Introduction

Heide lies in the north-west of Germany, approximately 100km from the Danish border. The A5 motorway provides a good connection from the regional centre of Hamburg, whilst Heide train station operates good services to local and long-distance destinations such as Neibull for the island of Sylt in the north, and Stuttgart in the south.
