Introduction
Rheine lies on the river Ems in the north west of Germany close to the border with the Netherlands. Lying just off the A30 motorway, it is well connected to the road network and Münster Osnabrück International Airport is just 30km away making international destinations relatively accessible also.The train station is right in the heart of the main town centre with the zoo lying approximately 1.5km to the north, the stadtpark (town park) 1km to the east and the old town just on the station's doorstep.
