The Great Réderie of Amiens

With over 2000 stallholders, this is one of France's Largest Flea Markets!

With over 2,000 exhibitors covering 15km of pavements, the Grand Rederie in April aka Spring Flea Market of Amiens is one of the biggest in France. Shoppers from as far afield as Germany, Italy and even Canada and Australia turn up to hunt for bargains among the antique furniture, books, coins, artworks, dishes, gardening tools and clocks. To get the best deal head down as early as possible (it opens at 5 am), be prepared to rummage and don't be afraid to haggle.

While the first flea market was conceived in 1909, it wasn't until the 1960s when it became an established date in Amiens' calendar, and now takes place twice a year with an autumn market in October.
