23,000 litres of beer await for Oktoberfest visitors travelling to Cambridge in November.. alongside the beer drinking, there are traditional Oompah bands, German food and cheesy um-pah songs.

Although traditional dress isn't compulsory, those with a spare pair of lederhosen at home have a great opportunity to dust them off, whilst those without can still look the part by hiring either dirndl dresses or lederhosen for the occasion from the souvenir shop on the day.

The event organiser says:

“We bring the band, food and beer all the way from Germany so it’s really going to be something special.

"Our beer is a wonderful lager with 5% and produced just for us in Bavaria under the German purity law, so fresh and tasty.“
